The movie "Point Break" by director Ericson Core is about a young FBI agent that infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists.While he battles through many life threatening obstacles such as, surfing, flying, snowboarding, rock climbing and motorcycling, he puts his life at risk in order to capture the criminals. The movie debuted on Christmas in 2015, while it does have an original movie that debuted in 1991. It is a action film.

Johnny Utah had a bad incident seven years before he arrived at the federal bureau of investigation. When he hears about the criminals that stole diamonds from the top of a twenty sotry building and escaping by parachute, in Mumbia, his interest is peaked. He also finds out a similar heist happens in Mexico where the criminals unloaded millions of dollars over Mexico, then disappear into the Cave Of Swallows.. Utah's research concludes that they were done by the same men, who are attempting to complete the Ozaki 8, a list of eight extreme ordeals to honor the forces of nature. They have already completed three, and Utah predicts they'll attempt the fourth on a rare sea wave phenomenon in France. After presenting his analysis, Utah is sent undercover to France under a field agent named Pappas. He ends up surfing in a wave, almost drowning but gets saved by one of the criminals, Bohdi. He still does not know for certain in the guy that saved him is apart of the crimes, so he stays on the boat in order to get more detail. Utah ends up staying with Bohdi and his friends, climbing mountains, flying, snowboarding, etc. until he finally realizes that they are apart of the crimes. By the end of the movie, the FBI steps in catching and killing most of the criminals, except the main one Bohdi.

The movie adheres to the rules of a strong hook because of the opining scene. It starts out as two extreme sport athletes, Johnny Utah and his friend Jeff, as they race down the side of a ridge line on motorbikes. At the end of the ride their is a cliff that leads to a rock. In order to get to the rock you have to jump. While Utah made the jump, landing safely, his friend Jeff did not. Jeff fell to his death and it was not until years later when Utah put his own life in danger by extreme sports again. With this hook, the viewer is left speechless. So of course, when the movie opens with the death of a character, the viewer is going to hooked immediately. The movie has many hooks that capture the viewers attention but the very beginning is the main one.
